Carpet Flooring Campaign Kicks Off

So far, sales of striped carpet flooring have increased by 200%* this year as influences from the fashion world continue to infiltrate interior design, providing exciting, hip flooring options for the home. Leading fashion designers such as Paul Smith play a key role in inspiring the bold colour palettes now available in striped carpet collections. These new styles are grabbing headlines in the world of interiors and cladding the coolest floors across the country. Bright coloured stripes can add a hip edge to neutrally decorated rooms, or make a subtle impact, complementing different scale striped soft furnishings. Striped carpet flooring makes a bold style statement, brings a wider colour palette into the home – without relying on accessories – and adds a zippy, vibrant feel that neutral tones alone cannot achieve. Bold tangerine and pinks are integral to this season’s new collections with secondary colour in “new nudes” that include shades of greys and taupe’s. Interior Designer Danielle Proud, spearheading the Fun On The Floor (funonthefloor.com) campaign says: “Fashion and Interior trends often go hand in hand and as an interior designer, it’s really exciting to be working with carpet again for years the focus has been on alternative flooring choices and in terms of pattern, wallpaper designs. Stripes can be put to stunning use in flooring and are a great design tool. They can be used to elongate rooms, change perspective, and bring together much wider colour palettes than you’d usually be able to use. “Many of this season’s carpet designs have taken inspiration from fashion trends and the current interior designs mean you can really have fun whilst creating an on-trend look. Whether you are looking for a New Nude or something more dark and brooding, carpet is a great way to create a haven in your home, without forgoing style.”
