If you are looking for a poker player that already ready has everything, you may want to consider a $350 deck of cards. A quick search on the internet and you will find these lovely cards, with their less than lovely price tag.

I’m not trying to say that these cards aren’t something special. To be fair, they are made out of stainless steel, a more expensive material than paper to start with. They also feature a carefully etched zebra pattern on the backs, and modernized etched versions of the traditional royalty symbols on the front. They are, for all intensive purposes, small little works of engineered art. Some people and casino owners out there are even framing these metal cards for wall decorations.

The problem with metal cards is the whole playing issue. It seems like they would be a bit difficult to shuffle, as they don’t bend. Definitely seems to be an engineering flaw. Call me old fashioned, but I think that you should actually be able to play poker with playing cards. Metal cards just don’t really fall into my idea of a good poker game, because I can’t actually have a good poker game with them. On top of that, I would have to spend all my money on the cards in the first place- so nothing left for the game.
