Spring Horse Racing Carnival

For Australia, we appreciate our horse racing & we thought we’d showcase Aussie’s greatest or possibly most popular carnival, Its’ Melbourne Spring Festival. Relax back & live it up as we lead you through Victoria’s greatest race within Australia, disclosing Melbourne’s stars of Melbourne’s Turf and of course the breeders & jockeys in the lead of this stunning industry. This is Australia’s very best moment for punters to get their money’s worth. With so many TAB and online sports betting websites in Australia, punters can easily place their bets.

Once we finally get over Derby Day & by god it is a massive day, we anticipate ourselves for the day that stops the nation, The Melbourne Cup. Ever since the origin of the race, the stories of Archer being paced down from Sydney to contest the Cup & who won the first two runnings of it to boot, Australians have been engaged. Victorians even get a bank holiday to party!

The love affair which was Makybe Diva and the Australian public was something to be admired. Makybe Diva was why race goers continued to go to the track. To win 3 Melbourne Cups in succession is something which we maybe won’t ever see again. What about the bump Australians got when Dermot Weld came away & took our Trophy back to Ireland back in ‘93 with Vintage Crop. Or maybe when he tried it again in ‘02 with Media Puzzle. What about Sheila Laxon winning with Ethereal, or perhaps the well known Might & Power and Doriemus photo finish. The rain poured down back in ‘74 & Van Der Hum swam home.

And then there was Bart. JB Cummings. The Cups King. The man who has trained the Melbourne Cup hero a lazy eleven times. With horses such as Light Fingers, Galilee, Think Big (twice), Hyperno, Let’s Elope and Saintly winning for him in the past. Back in 2008 punters & bookies alike were expecting Viewed could do it for the Cup Kings and make that apathetic 11 a decent dozen beyond the covering and who would have though the soon to be 80 year old would as a matter of fact do it. Well done Bart, you are devotedly the king of the Turf.

We will also not forget the hot water Luca Cumani & 2nd place winner Bauer landed in after it was made public the horse gotten shockwave therapy, against regulations in a period of 7 days of the Melbourne Cup. The commotion was remarkable, especially after it was discovered an RVL delegated veterinarian administered the therapy.
